MANU NATIONAL RESERVE
Day 1 .- CUSCO - CLOUD FOREST-Birdwatching
You wake up early to leave Cusco and begin a winding ascent into the Andes. The road eventually winds down to the town of Paucartambo Colonial Town, where you will stop briefly to stretch your legs. Leaving Paucartambo you begin your ascent through eucalyptus groves, cultivated fields, and remnant patches of native vegetation. Forty minutes from Paucartambo you reach Acjanaco at 3,500 meter atop the Eastern Cordillera of the Andes. At this point you have entered the Manu Biosphere Reserve where you are above the clouds gazing below into the lush jungle of the Amazon. As you ascent down from Acjanaco, the baron Paramo starts to change to an elfin forest, and locking the precius small tangaras birds, hummimbirds, momot, quetzal, solitary Egle, etc.
DAY 2 .- GOING TO THE RAIN FOREST
With the sun rise we and the natural watch point of atalaya we will go directly to the river port, after to0 stop and learnig about the local people tradicional life, their culture and in Atalaya Port takes the same name at the beginning of the alto Madre de Dios river we board our boat to the reserve called. Our lodge in the Alto Madre de Dios River after lunch we walk within the rain forest thorough our walk we will get the chance to see the difference of two types of forest and the chance to get deep many of the aspects from the amazon forest. And at the end of the day dinner in the lodge.
DAY 3 .- SMALL CLAY LICK OF PARROTS AND MACAWS
This day we must get up before sun rise in order to take the bout down the river to visit the collpa ( clay site) parrot, to watch different types and varieties of parrots after this activiy we have the breakfast in the riverside them the rest of the morning will take our bout and a short walk to the cocha ( oxbow lake) Machuwasi in order to see the difference types of birds. Of couse are lucky we will see some small caimans all this on a raft . returning to the lodge to have the lunch and afert short rest we have the activity to see the local plantations, and nocturnal walk aroud the lodge.
DAY 4 .- ORQUIDS GARDEN AND BACK TO CUSCO
After breakfast we get ready our luggage to came back by bout to Atalaya of course we will have the chance to see birds in the way back , ones in Atalaya we will change the bout for uor private car towards AND STOP IN THE MEDICINAL ORQUIDS GARDEN, of local man in the middle of the road to Atalaya Port, after that we return to Cusco taking the meals in the way looking for the best place and moment to stop to stright the legs.
